JEFF GEORGE

Clinician, Coach, and Training Educator

Jeff George is the owner and director of Ultra Sports Performance located in Charlotte, NC. He is a strength and conditioning coach, a sports performance coach, an orthopedic rehab and corrective exercise specialist, and an expert on developing explosive athletes. He is regarded as one of the top athletic movement specialist in the country.

Before transitioning into coaching, Jeff dedicated 21 years to military service in the United States Armed Forces. During his service, he was an elite athlete, competing on both the ALL-ARMY boxing and Tae Kwon Do teams. Later, he became the coach of the boxing team, where he honed his skills in training and mentoring athletes.

Since completing his military obligations in 1999, Jeff has focused on training athletes full-time, accumulating over 20 years of experience in the field of strength and conditioning. His educational background is extensive, including a doctorate in Kinesiology with an emphasis in strength and conditioning, a master's degree in Kinesiology specializing in Orthopedic Rehabilitation, and a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Health Science. He also holds a diploma in Nutrition, Diet, and Health Science.

Jeff is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Personal Fitness Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Additionally, he is a certified USA Swim coach, a Level 1 USA Track coach, a Level 1 USA TRI-Sport coach, and a Functional Movement Screening (FMS) clinician.

Throughout his career, Jeff has worked with athletes across a wide range of sports and levels, including the NBA, NFL, MLB, Pro Golf, as well as collegiate and high school athletes. His work encompasses both performance and strength training, helping athletes reach their highest potential in their respective sports.

Dr. KYLAH GEORGE

PT, DPT

Dr. Kylah George, DPT is a dedicated and passionate physical therapist specializing in Orthopedic Rehabilitation. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Elon University after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sports Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition to being a certified personal trainer, Kylah continually seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills in the rehabilitation field.

Kylah spends most of her time working at Novant Rehabilitation Hospital, where she performs inpatient treatments for a variety of patients. However, her true passion lies in helping athletes recover from injuries, which she pursues as a part-time team member at Ultra Sports Performance. There, she focuses on restoring and rebuilding athletes of all levels, drawing from both her professional expertise and personal experience as a former high school swimmer.

As a competitive swimmer throughout high school, Kylah understands the challenges of injury recovery and the journey back to peak performance. This firsthand experience fuels her commitment to helping athletes regain strength and return to their sports stronger than ever.

SHANNON MAXWELL

Personal Trainer

Shannon Maxwell, a UNC-Pembroke graduate and former two-sport athlete, brings a unique athletic perspective to her personal training career. Her 13 years of experience in bodybuilding and powerlifting provide a solid foundation for her expertise. In 2004, she transitioned into personal training, and her passion for golf fitness led her to become a TPI Level 3 Certified Golf Fitness Professional. Shannon also holds certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a personal trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist.

 

Shannon is dedicated to helping clients achieve their diverse fitness goals, whether on the golf course or in daily life. She prides herself on active listening and tailoring effective fitness programs to meet everyone’s unique needs.

RAZEEN KHALDUN

Razeen Khaldun is a recent graduate of the University of Arizona, where he excelled both on and off the track as a talented long jumper. With a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Sports Management, Razeen has a strong foundation in both athletic performance and effective communication.

Currently, Razeen is honing his skills as an intern at Ultra Sports Performance and Rehab Facility. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, he is gaining hands-on experience in designing, prescribing, and demonstrating exercises tailored to athletes and non-athletes of all levels. Razeen's passion lies in helping individuals achieve their fitness goals, whether it's improving athletic performance, enhancing overall health, or simply moving better.

As Razeen prepares to embark on a career as a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, he is excited to apply his knowledge and experience to empower others to reach their full potential.
