Strength training has become one of the most integral part of an athlete’s training regimen. Coaches relies on such training to enhance and improve their athletes performance. Further, they also recognize that strength training is an essential part of their injury prevention program.
At Ultra Sports we recognized the importance and benefits of incorporating a strength program into each athletes training protocol. We also understand that each athlete is different and their exercise prescription will also be different . Prior to customizing the athlete’s individualized training plan, as a strength coach I’m charged to ensure the athlete performs the necessary assessment and screening protocols. Besides the aforementioned reasons strength training is important to all athletes, strength training plays a significant role in the development of young athletes in the areas of motor skills, understand muscle mechanics and become more coordinated, it crafts a foundation for the future, helps build self-esteem.
