Nutrition & Weight Loss
Nutrition can be defined as nourishment or energy that is obtained from food we consume or the process of consuming the proper amount of nourishment and energy.
When weight is lost gradually and steadily (about 1 to 2 pounds per week) research has shown that we are more successful at keeping the weight off. At Ultra Sports, we define a healthy weight loss as an ongoing long-term lifestyle change rather than a “diet” or “program”.
Losing weight is not easy, and it requires determination and commitment. However, if you’re ready to get started, Ultra Sports Performance has the solution, we provide a step-by-step guide to help get you on the road to weight loss and better health.
Incorporating an exercise program into your weight loss plan will assist in the long run by keeping those pounds off. Research shows that regular physical activity will increase your chances of maintaining weight loss. At Ultra Sports, we recommend some form of strength or resistance training at least two or three times a week. Training can be performed using resistance bands, weights, and or your own body weight.
